Ministerial Staff

Succinctly, the pastoral staff is responsible for proclaiming the Gospel of Christ

For encouraging the church body to witness and evangelize for Christ also.
For guiding the spiritual development of the congregation
For providing pastoral care in meeting the needs of persons in the church and community and
For providing administrative leadership for the church.

Bible Study

The primary purpose of Bible Study is to search out God’s Will through the His Word, (the scriptures) so that the members of Christ’s body, the church, might live it out in our daily lives.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

The purpose of Vacation Bible School is to teach and reach children for Christ. VBS is a summer event which includes Bible lessons, crafts, games, and singing. VBS is designed to affect not only the children but also their homes and communities.

Designed to serve the needs of the sick and shut-in members of Historical Mt. Pleasant MB Church, whether currently attending worship service or praising God from wherever they may be.

The Outreach Ministry is to help introduce people to Jesus Christ by reaching out to the emotionally wounded and spiritually impoverished. This group seeks to meet people at the point of their need. This is accomplished by building relationships in the community through spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ and through community involvement.

Prayer Ministry

James 5:15-16

¹⁵And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

The Prayer Ministry unites believers by encouraging personal and collective prayer. This ministry seeks to follow the leading of Christ as it intercedes on behalf of the lost and petition for those who need healing and direction in their lives. This group strives to support the pastor, leaders, ministries and the congregation in prayer.

The future of Historical Mt. Pleasant is our youth, thus they need to be guided now to meet God’s requirement of becoming a good Christian.

The ministry of music plays a vital role in the life of the church. The music program is committed to the praise of our Lord. It is responsible for providing the congregation with music during our Sunday Worship services.

The Audio / Visual Ministry presently records and edits the Sunday morning worship service. This staff also records special programs and functions as needed. Upon request, copies of special services and programs may be made for our members and others who wish to purchase a specific program or function.
